About the position

Welcome to Tybblelundsskolan! As a teacher in the after-school program with us, you will be part of a team of colleagues. The work is carried out in grade-level teams from a full-day perspective where collaboration is key. You are a licensed teacher in the after-school program with qualifications to teach Home Economics and Consumer Studies, where you will teach Grade 6 during the school day.

The working hours at the after-school program are currently scheduled between 05:50–17:45, which may include opening or closing duties. In your daily work, you will focus heavily on the safety, influence, and participation of our students. Examples of tasks:

• Teach Home Economics and Consumer Studies
• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching within the after-school program, both individually and together with other educators in the team
• Adapt teaching based on the group as well as individual students' needs and prerequisites
• Use methods and approaches that lead to increased goal fulfillment
• Work towards the safety, influence, and participation of our students
• Support students' social development and upbringing
• Work and document in the existing activity systems
• Be familiar with and follow the organization's current laws, policies, and routines

About the workplace

Tybblelundsskolan is located southeast of Örebro city center, near Örebro University and next to Tybblelundshallen. It is a three-track primary school for students from preschool class to Grade 6. Currently, we have approximately 500 students and 70 staff members. There is a team in each grade level that works closely with the students on teaching and after-school activities.

At Tybblelundsskolan, we have developed our recess activities and schoolyard learning. We have an outdoor after-school program where collaboration takes place between grade levels. We also believe we can learn a lot from each other and develop together, which is why we work for collegial learning in all teams. Qualifications

As a teacher in the after-school program and in Home Economics and Consumer Studies, it is important that you collaborate easily with educators, student health services, and the principal. You have the ability to listen and communicate, and contribute to a calm and safe school environment for the students. You are confident and engaged in your role, you can see the big picture, and adapt to needs and situational prerequisites. You are good at inspiring, have a creative mindset, and have no problem leading activities. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of child development and learning, as well as the ability to adapt teaching based on the group and individual students' needs and prerequisites.

To achieve the organization's goals, we expect you to be driven and take responsibility for your tasks in a structured manner. You master the Swedish language to the extent that you can communicate with students, guardians, and other staff, and that you can document the activities in writing. Since the work involves digital documentation, good computer skills are also required.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• Teaching license with qualifications to teach in the after-school program and in Home Economics and Consumer Studies for Grades 4–6, or alternatively a degree that qualifies for a license

Merits:

• Training in Guided Interaction (ICDP)
